DESIGN

crafting two golden bracelets

The idea for my next creative project "crafting a pair of bracelets" came from a desire to create something intimate and timeless, symbolizing individuality and connection. I envisioned two sterling silver bracelets, one for "him" and one for "her." To bring this idea to life, I ordered sterling silver in both square rod and wire forms. Using my mother’s old goldsmithing workspace, I started the process armed with a torch, rubber mallet, and file.

The experience of working in her studio added a sentimental layer to the project. I carefully shaped and smoothed the silver, focusing on the details to make each piece unique. Despite the challenges of achieving precise curves and finishes, the act of creating by hand was incredibly rewarding. Once the bracelets were complete, I chose to have them gold-plated, adding a layer of elegance and contrast to the design. This finishing touch brought the pieces to life, transforming raw silver into polished, meaningful jewelry.
